VISITING HOURS:
Inniswood Metro Gardens is free and open daily throughout the year from 7 a.m. to dusk. For information about programs at Inniswood, please call (614) 895-6216 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.

Inniswood Metro Gardens is located at 940 S. Hempstead Road in Westerville.   From I-270, take exit number 29,

the State Route3/Westerville exit.  Drive south on State Route 3 to Dempsey Road and turn left.  Continue on Dempsey to Hempstead Road (second traffic light) and turn left.  Continue on Hempstead approximately one-quarter mile - being sure to stay on Hempstead as it turns right just past the Blendon Township Community Center.   The garden's entrance is approximately one-tenth mile past the Hempstead curve on the right-hand side.

GARDEN ETIQUETTE:
We invite you to discover the beauty and tranquility of Inniswood Metro Gardens, and ask your help in protecting and preserving all parts of this regional living treasure.  For its protection and the enjoyment of others, please follow these simple guidelines:

  • Rollerblading, jogging and other active sports are not permitted in the gardens but may be enjoyed at 14 other Metro Parks.
  • Bicycles are only permitted in the parking lot and on the Chipmunk Chatter Trail.  Racks are provided for securing bikes during your garden visit.
  • Although not permitted in the gardens or natural areas, leashed pets can be walked on the Chipmunk Chatter Trail.  Access to this trail is at the south end of the parking lot.  Please no pets in the gardens.
  • The Patio, at the edge of the parking lot, has benches where you may enjoy a quick snack before entering the gardens. We ask that no food be brought into the gardens.   Alcohol is not permitted in the Metro Parks.
  • Remain on the trails, paths and mowed lawns in the gardens and nature preserve.
  • Avoid obstructions and interferences that will lessen other visitors' enjoyment.  Please do not block the paths or other access areas.
  • For information on weddings or wedding photography in the Rose Garden, please call 614-895-6216 Tuesday through Friday between 9am and 2pm.
  • Reflecting the beauty and traditions of the Gardens, we ask that footwear and shirts be worn at all times.
  • Please do not climb trees and structures or wade in fountains, waterfalls, ponds and streams.
  • Please refrain from picking flowers or any plantings, walking in garden beds and collecting plants, flowers or labels.
  • For your safety please do not handle or feed wildlife.
