Family Programs
Inniswood offers family programs and events throughout the year. Our reoccurring offerings include:
- Preschool in the Gardens
hands-on lessons for children age 3-5 with an accompanying adult. Offered monthly September through May. - Garden School
interactive explorations of gardening and natural history topics for children age 6-10 with an accompanying adult. Offered seasonally. - Summer Children’s Programs
presentations and activities gear towards children age 8 and under with an accompanying adult. Offered Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and afternoons during summer months. - Children’s Garden Day
This annual event is held the last Sunday of April and celebrates family gardens and gardening. Gardening activities, crafts, and live animals are part of this event. - Inniswood Plant Sale
Benefitting the Inniswood Volunteers Inc., a selection of perennial and herb plants are for sale annually the first weekend in May. - Halloween Party
This annual event celebrates the tradition started by Grace Innis. Typically held the last Sunday of October, this event offers fall activities, crafts, and live animals.
Adult Programs
Educational programs offered for an adult audience may focus on plant identification, wildlife, insects, pollinators, and gardening techniques.
School Field Trips
Inniswood hosts visits from schools and other learning institutions year round. Visits typically last one hour and consist of walks through the formal gardens and natural areas. Topics vary and can be tailored to suit the needs of each school.
