Leaf: evergreen needles, in groups of 5, persisting for three years, 2 ½ -4 ½ inch needles are dark green on the outside and the inner surfaces are grayish revealing a bluish green color
Twig and Bud: reddish brown twig color
Flower, Fruit and Seed: seed cones are short stalked, cylindrical, 3 ½ -6 inches long
Bark: thin, gray and grayish brown
Shape and Mature Height: loose pyramidal outline, typically 40 feet tall in cultivation, may grow up to 100 feet tall
